CFTI Chennai implemented the KVIC-sponsored Designing and Manufacturing of Footwear Training Programme under Gramodyog Vikas Yojana at our institute premises. Over 60 Artisans from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telengana States were trained in the past 3 years.

The objective of this training is to provide Skill upgradation to the Artisans who were already in this trade to enhance their skills and to learn the advance technologies in leather footwear sector, Artisans and beneficiaries will be imparted Skill development/Upgradation training programmes and will be distributed Machinery, tools and equipments in the V.I. Verticals.

Status Of Training Programme

In FY 2024-25, we have completed the One day crash course to 50 candidates and 10 Artisans imparted Skill development/Upgradation training programmes and will be distributed Machinery, tools and equipments in the V.I. Verticals.
